In the spirit of celebrating the International Women’s Day, Aspire Debate Rwanda in partnership with Rwanda National Students’ Association (RNSA-INTAGAMBURUZWA) with support from Plan International Rwanda
Chapter organized the first-ever inter-school Kinyarwanda debate competition on Climate Change and Gender Justice

On 11th March 2022, Aspire Debate Rwanda in conjunction with Youth for Tax Justice Network Rwanda Chapter held the second inter-university debate competition on tax justice.

On 18th February 2022, ten (10) female debater club leaders convened at Aspire Debate Rwanda head office (in the premises of University of Rwanda College of Science and Technology) for a two days leadership training workshop.

Aspire Debate Rwanda together with district education directors of Rulindo and Musanze districts, held a stakeholders’ meeting to discuss the implementation of the level up program in their districts.

We are now taking the opportunity to inform our beneficiaries, partners and general public that our current logo has evolved to new brand logo in order to better communicate the breadth of proficiency that Aspire Debate Rwanda truly represents and realign with our existing value proposition and vision.

It was joy and excitement for students and staff of Wellspring Academy as they received trophies and medals from Writopia Lab through Aspire Debate Rwanda.

On January 26th 2022, Aspire Debate Rwanda in collaboration with Gasabo district through its education directorate organized a stakeholders’ meeting with an aim of introducing the level up pilot program in high schools to 4 head teachers of the selected schools in Gasabo district.

In the spirit of embracing “Orange the world: End violence against women now!” the theme of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence 2021.

On 08th July 2021, Aspire Debate Rwanda announced a partnership with African Youth and Adolescents on Population and Development (AfriYAN) Rwanda on promotion of Gender Justice and campaign against Gender Based Violence amongst the youth.

On 7th December 2019, Aspire Debate Rwanda financially supported 4 students from two local university to participate in the 12th edition of Pan Africa University Debate Championship that happened from 8th to 16th December 2019.

On 29th September 2019, Aspire Debate Rwanda signed a Memorandum of Understanding with University Rwanda. The three years agreement is aimed at enhancing the students’ involvement in co-curricular activities as described in the Foots Print Program.

The Pan African Universities Debate Championship (PAUDC 2018) which took place in Dar es Salam from 5th to 12th December 2021, was an interesting and experiencing competition made of many different African Countries like Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Mauritius and many others including Rwanda.

1st National University Female Debate Championship 2015

On 30th October 2015, Aspire Debate Rwanda in collaboration with Akilah Institute for Women organized 1st ever National University Female Debate Championship hailed as “NFDC” held under theme “women’s role in public speaking and development of the nation”, aimed at ameliorating Rwanda’s goal of promoting and empowering women to stand and be part of the country’s development in different areas of leadership.
